i was think of doing some of it for fleabay but with the cost of the models compared to the return that most seem to get i think i'll give it a miss.

I got lucky; I'm trading some of my minis (that would otherwise have sat and gathered dust) for a bunch of FoW minis and a rulebook (all brand new- the guy works at a game shop )
Otherwise, the price is what kept me away in the past.

It's done to death on eBay as is sadly, mate and FoW prices have taken a pretty big drop of late too but I guess you can only sell so many German armies etc

I get most of my box sets at the local conventions at 50-75% off. You need to wait around for the one you want but it usually won't take longer than a year. I picked up those LRDG box sets for practically nothing just a couple on months ago and a Panzergrenadier Company box as well.

THe "official" FoW vehicles/figures by Battlefront are expensive but didn't Court Jester do a Peter Pig Tiger 1 earlier this year that sold well?
There are other 15mm manufacturers listed here

The Peter Pig vehicles have been receiving resculpts and are nice, they are also all metal rather than the mix with resion from battlefront.

Skytrex 15mm WW2 are still nice sculpts and not expensive. They also do ten man infantry squads and some heavy weapon support for around £2 and these look good painted and based up in FOW style but may not get the prices on E-bay FOW stuff does even when painted to a very high standard.
Thanks for the list Mindenbrush

i've been watching fow stuff on ebay closely for the last 12 weeks now.
it varies, the well known chaps and chapesses get a decent return.
just recently £200.00 + for the five tigers of the Tiger Marsch set, £150+ for a hummel platoon.

otherwise you're looking at around £10 + vehicle cost as the average for vehicles... so £15 for a single stug or panther done to a reasonable standard.
you get 10% off plus free postage for fow stuff from stafford games (and a few other places) but the prices are very consistent across the net and ebay with very few bargains available.
prices for non-battlefront stuff tends to be a bit lower, maybe as much as 15% but if you intermingle non-bf stuff from other manufacturers it can perversly up the price (presumably because of uniqueness i.e. use skytrex or Pig tank crew on BF tanks etc - lots of neat poses)
entire armies are hit&miss - depends if there is a buyer who wants *just that force*
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270190158769&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017
really not sure if such forces are worth the time until you get to the warpainter and WPB standards and even then depends how quickly you are painting them.
there is a deluge of german stuff over allied, about 60:40 i would say, which considering the number of non-german forces is a massive skew toward german stuff.
So non-german forces may be worth considering.
thats about it really - obviously casual observation rather than in depth study (and lots of "watch this item" on ebay.co.uk)
