The German gamers certainly do seem to have gotten the knack on how to present their games, just look at the pictures from Tactica last year.

Hopefully I will learn more of their methods in February.

yeah Wolfgang is the master of styrodur, some hot-hot stuff in there.

the speed at which he throws them out is amazing, although i think that some of the detail suffers when you get close up - but that's a consequence of the material and method, not knocking the skill exhibited. (you look at his dioramas and you can clearly see he can do a lot better)

a lot of his stuff is basically styrodur (styrofoam/blue foam) carved or impressed with a biro pen... and he is obviously ruddy fast at it and has his method down-pat.

I'd love to see some of it in person and have a really good nose at it.

what really impresses me is the speed of construction and quality of the final piece given the simplistic materials and method, he's got a nack for getting brilliant results from processes that are far quicker than more...erm.. traditional, methods let's say.

I get the impression that he's slapping these up without *too much* effort - which then goes to show just how good he is.

I've certainly not seen anybody else anywhere with his quality and rate of production.

There was another chap in Germany who was making stunning 40K gothic city scenery out of compressed packing foam.

For the life of me can't remember his name, and the favourite link is long since lost to the midsts of time.
