nice idea sean, but using that method you won't be able to get the miniature out without trashing the mould.
that's why moulds have two halves mate.

well, technically GP - you can make them that way. You then use a "Mould cutter" to extract the master.

(its kinda like a knife with a blade that is bent back upon itself twice so that it cuts a groove will you can then use to keep the two halves located when you pour the mould)

but, yeah, its not quite as simply as throw it in the silicone
