Got some Horrorclix Aliens last week for Space Hulk and Near Future. Basically I wanted to simply rebase them but I didn't like the stone structures and all the climbing poses in the set so I went and cut them up. They are very nice for cutting up and converting, the soft plastic glues extremely well with superglue and if something doesn't fit you can simply bend it in shape. They are also rather undestructable. So I ended up with 14 pretty indivdual figures and only three of them climb around on girders. Bases are Atenociti's which safed me lots of work, figures are drybrushed and glossed, works fine for them.
They are realy huge, easily 40mm. What I don't like so much are the very humanoid poses, I'd have prefered them more creepy as in the Aliens movie.
Aliens vs Predator is quite weak I think, but it inspires to order some Copplestone Predators.

They look creepy enough for me mate. The touch of light reflection from
the skull carapice is brilliant. The bases really work well for them too!

See what you mean about being slightly human ..its in the back legs of
some I can see it, the one on the left climbing the girder looks very like
the spiderman clix my son has on his desk!

Yes that's it. The climbing pose on the left of the pic is from the original set and it's very nice. The climbing pose on the right is a cenversion from the running Alien which is a bit weak in the original pose because of the bendy plastic. Ideally they are fixed with three points fo the base for stability but you can't do this with all. I've varnished them heavily gloss, Aliens must be slimy

Superb! The bases really set them off.

Yeah, Aliens V Predator was a pants film, but would make a good game!

Agree about the bases. They're very well done and set the figures off nicely.

These look way nicer than the boxed set but now you need some predators to kick their butts!

Brilliant stuff. I love the ones climbing the girders.

I'm going to have to buy some of these......

Where have I heard that before?
